# Trivia

> Engage your community with fun, knowledge-based questions and challenges.

## Channel

Select the channel where trivia questions will be sent.

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the **Trivia Component** (each has a unique ID, e.g. `A1T2O3M4`).
4. Click **Channel**.
5. Select the channel.

## Schedule

Set when trivia questions are sent.

| Mode     | Description                                 |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| Interval | Sent every `x` minutes.                     |
| Messages | Sent every `x` messages. *(Superatom only)* |

<Note>Messages mode includes a brief delay (up to 10 seconds) due to interval scheduling.</Note>

**Message Mode Accounting Options:**

| Source | Description                                                                            |
| ------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Local  | Tracks only messages in the designated [Trivia Channel](/src/leveling/trivia#channel). |
| Global | Tracks messages server-wide where Atom has `Read Messages` permission.                 |

**Steps:**

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the component.
4. Click **Schedule**.
5. Enter the interval (for `Interval`) or message count (for `Messages`).

## Rewards

Choose rewards for correct answers.

| Reward | Description                                                |
| ------ | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| XP     | Give `x`–`y` XP. *(Ranged rewards are Superatom only)*     |
| Levels | Give `x`–`y` levels. *(Ranged rewards are Superatom only)* |

**Steps:**

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the component.
4. Click **Rewards**.
5. Enter the reward values.

<Sub>Superatom users can set `Minimum` and `Maximum` for both rewards.</Sub>

## Expiry *(Superatom only)*

Set how long members have to answer.

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the component.
4. Click **Expiry**.
5. Enter the time (e.g. `2m 30s`).

## Difficulty *(Superatom only)*

Set the question difficulty.

Options: `Any`, `Easy`, `Medium`, `Hard`.

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the component.
4. Click **Difficulty** until the desired level is shown.

## Category *(Superatom only)*

Choose the question category.

Options: `Any`, `General Knowledge`, `Entertainment: Books`, `Entertainment: Film`, `Entertainment: Music`, `Entertainment: Musicals & Theatres`, `Entertainment: Television`, `Entertainment: Video Games`, `Entertainment: Board Games`, `Science & Nature`, `Science: Computers`, `Science: Mathematics`, `Mythology`, `Sports`, `Geography`, `History`, `Politics`, `Art`, `Celebrities`, `Animals`, `Vehicles`, `Entertainment: Comics`, `Science: Gadgets`, `Entertainment: Japanese Anime & Manga`, `Entertainment: Cartoon & Animations`.

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the component.
4. Click **Category**.
5. Select from the menu.

## Retries *(Superatom only)*

Set the number of extra attempts allowed per question.

<Sub>Retries + 1 = total attempts. Example: `2` retries = 3 total attempts.</Sub>

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the component.
4. Click **Retries**.
5. Enter the retry limit.

## Resubmission Cooldown *(Superatom only)*

Set how long a member must wait before trying again.

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the component.
4. Click **Resubmission Cooldown**.
5. Enter the time (e.g. `2m 30s`).

## Claim Limit *(Superatom only)*

Set the max number of members who can earn rewards per question.

1. Run `/config server`.
2. Select **Trivia**.
3. Select the component.
4. Click **Claim Limit**.
5. Enter the limit.
