Trivia
The Trivia module allows you to engage your community with fun, knowledge-based questions and challenges.
/config server -> Trivia
Channel
Select the channel where the trivia questions will be sent.
- Run
/config server
. - Select Trivia.
- Select the Trivia Component, each component has a unique identifier (e.g.
A1T2O3M4
). - Click the Channel button.
- Select the channel where the trivia questions should be sent to.
Schedule
Select the preferred schedule for trivia questions, specifying their timing and recurrence. Scheduling modes includes Interval
and Messages
.
Mode | Description |
---|---|
Interval | Trivia questions will be sent every x minutes. |
Messages | Trivia questions will be sent every x messages. |
Messages scheduling is Superatom exclusive. |
Message scheduling includes the following accounting options, which determine the channels where messages will be tracked.
Source | Description |
---|---|
Local | Tracks only messages sent within the designated Trivia Channel. |
Global | Tracks all messages sent across the server, including every channel where Atom has Read Messages permissions. |
- Run

- Select the Trivia Component, each component has a unique identifier (e.g.

). - Click the Schedule button.
- Enter the interval in the
Interval
input or message count in theMessages
input.
Rewards
Select the rewards for trivia questions, rewards that can be offered includes XP
and Levels
.
Reward | Description |
---|---|
XP | Reward the member(s) who answered correctly with x to y xp. |
Levels | Reward the member(s) who answered correctly with x to y levels. |
Ranged rewards are Superatom exclusive. |
- Run

- Select the Trivia Component, each component has a unique identifier (e.g.
A1T2O3M4
). - Click the Rewards button.
- Enter the rewards.
Superatom subscribers will be presented with a
Minimum
and Maximum
input for both rewards.
Expiry
Choose the expiry duration for trivia questions, setting a specific time limit within which members must submit their answers.
- Run

- Select the Trivia Component, each component has a unique identifier (e.g.
A1T2O3M4
). - Click the Expiry button.
- Enter the expiry in time format (e.g. 2m 30s).
Difficulty
Select the difficulty level for trivia questions, specifying the complexity of the questions to be sent.
Difficulty Options:
Any
(includes all difficulty levels)Easy
Medium
Hard

- Select the Trivia Component, each component has a unique identifier (e.g.

). - Click the Difficulty button until it toggles to the desired difficulty level.
Category
Select the category for trivia questions, specifying the topics from which questions will be drawn.

- Select the Trivia Component, each component has a unique identifier (e.g.

). - Click the Category button.
- Select the Category from the select menu.
Retries
Select the number of retries allowed for trivia questions, specifying the number of attempts members can make to answer a question.
Retries refer to the number of attempts a member can make to re-answer a question correctly. Meaning that every member is provided with at least 1 attempt.
For example, if the retry limit is set to 2
, a member is allowed a total of 3 attempts to answer.

- Enter the Retries.
Resubmission Cooldown
Select the cooldown duration for trivia questions, specifying the time members must wait before resubmitting their answers.
- Run

. - Select Trivia.
- Select the Trivia Component, each component has a unique identifier (e.g.
A1T2O3M4
). - Click the Resubmission Cooldown button.
- Enter the Resubmission Cooldown in time format (e.g. 2m 30s).
Claim Limit
Select the claim limit for trivia questions, specifying the maximum number of members who can claim rewards for answering a question correctly.

). - Click the Claim Limit button.
- Enter the Claim Limit.
